I relaunched Logic, reset preferences how I like 'em. Hint - there's a Waves uninstaller that will also uninstall all older Waves stuff in the Waves folder, I think, in Applications. Reinstalling didn't fix anything, so I uninstalled AGAIN, went through and found all the Waves cruft left on my drive, trashed Logic prefs, trashed Waves prefs and anything else Waves I could find. Long and short of it is I uninstalled all my Waves stuff - Boom - projects would load again, albeit slowly and with warning messages for the missing Waves plugs. Still too way longer than normal to launch. I went to prefs and switched to the built in in and out, just for testing. It took like 2 minutes but it FINALLY opened. So now I'm getting a bit nervous so I launch Logic and tell it to create a new file. I did that, all seemed to go great.Ī bit later I decided to mess with the reamping capability of the Ensemble, so I go to launch an older project that used amp sims on the guitar tracks - meaning just the raw guitar input was recorded. Ok, I figure, I'll jut download and install a fresh copy of them. While it's installing the Gold bundle it tells me it's also going to uninstall all my older Waves plugs. So I go to install the Gold Bundle with Waves' wonderful new Waves Central app. Apogee's running a promotion where you also get Waves' Gold Bundle with the Ensemble purchase. Got a new Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt today. Dunno if this is El Capitan related or not but:
